We stock and install FAAC-compatible welding and fabrication components for Henderson gate systems, with most installed jobs running between $275 and $850 depending on the part and the amount of on-site welding required. The part is usually replaced the same visit once we confirm the model and take measurements, since we carry common FAAC hinge and bracket assemblies on the truck. Most Henderson owners discover the failure the same way: the gate starts to sag toward the latch side, a weld point shows rust staining, or a hinge pin begins to squeal under load. The weld itself rarely fails first; it’s almost always the metal around it, fatigued by hundreds of open-close cycles in desert heat.
Before anything gets cut or welded, you receive a written price. We follow the same routine on every visit: shoe covers at the door, drop cloths under the work area, and a photo of the cleanup before we leave. That’s the Cedarwell C.A.R.E. standard we work to, and it’s not an upsell.
Which FAAC Models This Applies To
FAAC’s U.S. lineup includes the 400, 412, 415, 422, 750, 770, and S800 series operators, along with the swing-arm kits and ram assemblies that pair with them. The welding and fabrication work we do for these systems falls into a few different categories: hinge and post-mount reinforcement for swing gates, bracket fabrication for operator mounting, and repair or rebuilding of cracked weld points on gate frames, posts, or latch plates. When we talk about “FAAC welding” in the field, we mean welding work that keeps a FAAC operator’s geometry correct: hinge alignment, mounting plate level, and enough clearance for the arm’s full stroke.
One compatibility point that matters if you’re ordering your own parts: FAAC 400-series hinges are not interchangeable with 750-series hinges. The pin diameter and bolt pattern are close enough to fool you, but they’re off by more than a quarter inch, and forcing a mismatched hinge onto a post will throw the gate’s swing plane off just enough that the operator fights the gate every single cycle. If you call us with a model number from the operator casing and a photo of the hinge, we’ll usually tell you what to expect before we ever roll a truck.
We’re an independent service provider, not a FAAC dealer or affiliate. That independence means we make the OEM-versus-aftermarket call based on what actually holds up in this climate, not what a distributor pushes. For load-bearing hinge assemblies we lean OEM; for simple mounting brackets and standoff plates, a well-made aftermarket piece does the job at a lower price. We’ll show you both numbers and let you choose.

Signs Your FAAC Welding & Fabrication Is Failing
- The gate sags visibly at the latch corner. This usually means a hinge weld or the metal around the hinge pin has started to deform. The operator still pushes the gate, but it’s dragging on the latch post instead of clearing it, and that drag shortens the life of every moving part.
- Rust staining around a weld point. Oxidation gets into the heat-affected zone of a weld faster than the surrounding steel. In Henderson’s dry air it’s slower than coastal climates, but once it starts it follows the weld line like a map.
- A hinge or bracket squeals on every cycle. That’s metal-on-metal contact, typically from a worn hinge bushing or a mounting plate that’s loosened. The noise is the early warning; by the time it stops, the wear is already deep.
- The operator cycles short or trips its obstruction sensor. When a weld flexes, the gate’s travel arc changes just enough that the FAAC controller sees unexpected resistance and stops the gate mid-swing. The board is fine. The bracket behind it is the problem.
- Cracks at the post base or on the gate frame near a hinge. In Henderson, the daily temperature swing from cold desert nights to 105-degree afternoons cycles steel constantly. A micro-crack at a weld becomes a visible crack in one season if it’s carrying weight.
Replacement Cost & What’s Included
For Henderson homeowners, FAAC welding and fabrication repairs typically land between $275 and $850 installed. The low end covers a single hinge replacement or bracket remount where the existing steel is still sound. The high end covers multiple weld points, cracked frame repair, or fabrication of a custom mounting plate for an operator that was never quite aligned right to begin with.
Every quote includes parts, labor, weld cleanup and paint, and the time to test the full gate cycle under the operator’s own power. We don’t charge separately for grinding, prep, or cleaning. You’ll see the exact number in writing before any work begins, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the job: if the repair doesn’t hold, we make it right without arguing. Cody Beckman has been doing this long enough to know that a straight price up front is worth more than any warranty clause in fine print.

AfterDIY or Call Us?
If you want to check something before calling, there are two safe things to look for: rust staining around hinge welds and bolt heads that show wear from movement. Closing the gate by hand and watching the hinge area while ignoring how it looks from the latch side will also tell you a lot. What we don’t recommend is grinding out a cracked weld and re-welding a load-bearing hinge yourself. That hinge is carrying a couple hundred pounds of gate through a swing arc, and a cold or under-penetrated weld can fail without warning while a kid is walking through the opening. This is one area where the risk isn’t theoretical.
If the gate is sagging, making metal-on-metal noise, or the operator is fighting the swing, call us at (775) 210-7739. We’ll walk through what you’re seeing, tell you honestly whether it needs a truck roll, and give you a written price before we touch anything.
FAQs
In Henderson’s climate, a properly welded and painted hinge or bracket on a FAAC system typically lasts 10 to 15 years before the metal begins to show meaningful fatigue. Gates out in Inspirada and other HOA communities with high cycle counts trend toward the lower end, since each open-close cycle loads and unloads the weld.
Call (775) 210-7739 if your hinges are showing rust staining or the gate has started to sag; the earlier it’s caught, the smaller the repair.
Yes, a cracked weld can often be ground out and re-welded if the surrounding steel is still thick enough to hold a full-penetration bead. We typically recommend replacement when the metal around the weld has thinned from corrosion or when the piece is load-bearing and the crack runs along more than half the weld line.
Call us for an honest assessment; we’ll show you the crack up close and explain what’s actually worth saving.
Most single-hinge or bracket repairs take between one and two hours on-site, including setup, welding, paint, and a full cycle test of the gate under the operator’s own power. Larger fabrication jobs like a custom mounting plate can take half a day, and we’ll schedule that so it’s not a surprise.
Call (775) 210-7739 with your FAAC model and a photo if you can, and we’ll give you a realistic time window before we arrive.
We stock the most common FAAC hinge and bracket sizes on the truck, including 400-series and 750-series patterns, along with the standoff plates our Henderson customers need most often. Less common parts or OEM-only pieces are ordered and usually installed within a day or two.
Call us with your model number and we’ll tell you exactly what’s already on the shelf.
